Snow Sweet
SNOW SWEET – Overlooks the Field of Dreams pasture, and future pond, with a view of Appleton Ridge. It is a wooden yurt with a spectacular ceiling and personal therapeutic hot tub.
The Appleton Retreat is situated on 120 acres of privately owned land. To the south, a short walk from Snow Sweet, is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area where you can view wildlife or kayak; and to the north, a wooded trail leads to a secluded pond on 1,300 acres of Nature Conservancy protected property.
The space
Snow Sweet is a 20′ Smiling Woods wooden yurt with an addition that includes a foyer, bathroom and screened in porch. (Silver Moon is a sister to it. Summer Rose has a more spacious interior but does not have an addition.) A beautiful gas fireplace provides heat to assure a perfect getaway all year long.
The yurt is a contemporary living space with fine amenities and a wrap around deck for enjoying the outdoors. Enjoy cooking in the well stocked kitchen or grilling on the deck…… So many options, perhaps a hot tub and fire in the firepit after dining out at one of the Midcoast fine restaurants.

(Braeburn, Silver Moon, Summer Rose and Snow Sweet also include a hydrotherapeutic hot tub. Smitten has a clawfoot double slipper, small cast iron bathtub.)
